Emily Zeek is a transmedia artist working across the mediums of sculpture, photography, performance and writing. Her work can be seen at the Denver Zoo, Children's Museum of Denver, in the Santa Fe Arts District and as part of the 5280 Trail Project on the Auraria Campus. Her work has also been shown at Emmanuel Gallery, Edge Gallery, Colorado Gallery for the Arts, Pirate Contemporary Art, and Union Hall Denver in the Rough Gems show "Sacrum." A winner of the Chalk Art Photography Contest, she has performed at the Museum of Contemporary Art, and independent venues around Denver. Emily has also been a regular contributor to Daria Magazine.
Emily has a BFA in Transmedia Sculpture from the University of Colorado, Denver and also has a BS in Engineering Physics from the Colorado School of Mines. Sculpturally, Emily's processes include oxyacetylene bending and welding steel metal rods into a variety of configurations that fit a conceptual narrative around diversity, feminism and existentialism.
