Performance, 2026, Denver Fringe Festival, Truss House, Denver, CO

A documentary theatre production serving as a living, performative obituary of Hilma af Klint, the piece traces her avant-garde exploration of spiritualism as a conduit for artmaking and her groundbreaking role in abstraction, perhaps the first in the Western canon, while situating her at the center of competing intellectual forces: science and mysticism, institutional authority and esoteric knowledge, and male-dominated modernism alongside female spiritual collaboration. Moving between rejection and revelation, the play contrasts her dismissal by dominant power structures with the sustaining force of women supporting women, particularly her bond with Anna Cassel, ultimately asking what it means to create visionary work in a world not yet capable of seeing it.
As the primary artist, I was involved in every aspect of production from development of the story, script writing, casting, costume and set design, rehearsals through production.
